Rooted in Louisiana folklore, the Rougarou is a legendary guardian of the swamp—part warning, part protector—used to remind communities that safety is a shared responsibility. At BSidesNOLA, the Rougarou represents the same idea in cybersecurity: threats often live in the shadows, and it takes awareness, collaboration, and diverse perspectives to protect the whole village!
