An ecclectic gathering of InfoSec people to hear awesome talks and have outrageously fun discussions!  Our mission is to provide an inclusive, ecletic, some say quirky open environment for sharing and collaborative discourse on topics that most interest you.

 

Last year the Austin event was fantastic, which you know if you were there.  Security BSides Austin 2012 will be even better.  If you have thoughts, comments, complaints, suggestions, or would like to volunteer, let us know - send a message to:

Yes, we renamed the talks to include the WONDERFUL experience we had with the Austin Fire Marshall unsucessfully raining on our Con - But BCP prevailed and we continued without a hitch.  So here is to you Mr. Fire Marshall... talks named in your 'by the book' honor!

 

Lodging:  Yes, we moved it a month later to this is during SxSWi, that means hotel rooms are avaialble

Day 1 - Thursday

 

  • Morning: We aren't fond of morning, either.  The good news is that Breakfast Tacos and Coffee, will be available at the onsite Hideout Coffee Shop and much more to start your day.

  • Evening - Hackers on a Duck! Will probably be on Friday evening, but not confirmed yet. 

 

Day 2 - Friday

 

  • Morning: After Hackers on a Duck and whatever else we do, morning may be a bit rough again.  But Eastside Tacos will again be stopping by to offer breakfast tacos, coffee, and much more to help ease your stomach (and possibly brain) into a new day.

  • Evening/Party: Will probably be near the event venue.

 

Volunteers

There is plenty of parking in the area, and we'll be just a 6 blocks from the Austin downtown station and convention center - Take the Train, only 8 blocks away.
