About BSides Sao Paulo

 

BSidesSP is a one-day conference on information security and hacker culture, as a way to promote the free exchange of information and the integration between security researchers, professionals, and students. BSidesSP is organized by Brazilian infosec professionals with additional help from local hackerspace Garoa Hacker Clube.

 

BSidesSP will be free of charge and wants to create a day full of activities to promote information security and hacker culture in the country, with various activities scheduled to take place simultaneously in four different tracks, including talks, debates, technical workshops and a free Brazilian barbecue (free as "free Beer" - beer is free as well!). BSidesSP also features a BSidesSP Mentorship Program to support new speakers and will host a Hacker Job Fair to help attendees getting in contact with local companies and look for potential employment opportunities.
