Welcome to B-Sides DC 2016!

Our first two events were a huge success! We had 455 attendees, sold 650 tickets, and had 20 talks over 2 days in our inaugural year, and we had 770 attendees/staff/volunteers on 800 tickets sold, with two tracks, a multitude of educational classes, and a handful of various villages or CTF events for our second year! Last year's event introduced CryptKids KidsCon, because "won't somebody think of the children?!" There were almost 900 attendees!

So let's do it again! B-Sides DC 2016 is scheduled for October 21-23, 2016 and will be held at a new venue! We're still sealing the deal on that, so pay attention to our Twitter and the Web site for info. So mark your calendars for that and our CFP and registration dates.

Other important dates include:

• CFP : April 15 through June 30, 2016.
• Registration: Round 1: August 15, 2016; Round 2: September 1, 2016; Round 3: You can show up at the door, space permitting. You can get more information, or go directly to the page to order, when availability and time permit.

We are planning a 2+ day event again, with two primary tracks, educational options, as well as the popular lockport village from Toool DC, and perhaps more. We're going to try to keep the Friday educational day, and this year we're continuing with Crypt Kids KidsCon!
